Care Guide

Planting

Plant your Pacific False Bindweed in full sun where it can spread or climb - it's excellent for covering shaded structures. This Bay Area native thrives in the chaparral and coastal scrub conditions, so choose a spot with good drainage. Plant in spring during the growing season to give it time to establish before summer.

After Planting

Water weekly to bi-weekly during the first growing season to help it establish and maintain its leaves. This fast-growing perennial will bloom from March through November, rewarding you with white, pink, or purple morning glory flowers up to 5 centimeters wide. The #1 mistake is underwatering - this plant needs consistent moisture to look its best, so don't let the soil dry out completely between waterings.
